Cashier duties include receiving payments and issuing receipts, storing money and supplies, and other tasks related to cash management.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a retail setting.
A good cashier is one who can manage transactions properly.
They must be able to check customers out efficiently and accurately.
The goal is to ensure all customers receive excellent service and avoid being left without a purchase.
Responsibilities Manage transactions with customers using public computers and computers in our POS system Issue receipts when applicable Ring up transactions accurately Handle cashier's checks properly Count cash at the end of the day Ring up sales accurately Keep the front register and the back room clean and neat Inform customers when its time to pay Provide excellent customer service Stock Shelves Stay up-to-date with new products offerings Comply with all safety rules and regulations of the place and or position Skills/Qualifications/Requirements Previous experience as a retail cashier or similar role in retail setting preferred but not required.
Basic math skills (addition & subtraction) Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, basic internet usage, basic software installation) preferred but not required.
Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of the retail environment including POS system preferred but not required Job Types:
