Our client, a growing real estate/hospitality company, is seeking a Regional Controller to join its growing team.

Your role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting, and providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the region.

Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee the financial operations of multiple business units within the region, ensuring that the right controls are in place and that financial transactions are accurately reported.
2.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including financial statements, budget performance, and forecast reports.
3.
Drive the budgeting and forecasting process for the region, working closely with the senior management team.
4.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the region; interpret and present complex financial information to non-financial managers.
5.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
6.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
7.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from entry-level employees to senior executives.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
2.
Minimum of 3
years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
3.
Proven experience in multi-unit accounting and regional financial control.
4.
Strong understanding of monthly reporting and financial control procedures.
5.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic focus.
7.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with experience in financial systems and databases.
8.
A self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial performance.
10.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
