This position is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of board policies, negotiated agreements, and current labor laws and sharing this knowledge with the Glenbrook 225 staff.
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for assisting in all Human Resources functions, including but not limited to compliance, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding of all employee groups.
The person in this position is also responsible for retention, satisfaction, and productivity to assist in ensuring that the department runs efficiently and with high levels of customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business management, or other relevant field.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in the role of Human Resources Specialist, Generalist, or Coordinator.
Experience working in the education setting (preferred).
Familiarity with HR processes and programs.
Ability to present and produce documents at a high level of sophistication.
Ability to make rational decisions, problem-solve and effectuate change.
Ability to establish and maintain a collegial relationship with all departments.
Must possess knowledge of the state and federal laws related to human resources.
Willing to participate in ongoing professional development.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
