Sylvan is looking for enthusiastic elementary and middle school educators who would like to help a small group of students get caught up in reading and math.
We have shifts available after school M-Th and on Sat and Sun at our Glenview location.
Days and hours are flexible based on your availability.
Sylvan provides all the curriculum and training, as well as a token motivation system where students get to shop for prizes.
This positive reinforcement system makes your job that much easier because students have extra motivation to participate and stay engaged.
The program requires very little preparation or reporting so it's the ideal after school gig!We specialize in providing personalized 3:
1 instruction to students grades K through 12th grade in the following subjects:
Reading, Math, Study Skills, Writing, and SAT/ACT Prep.
We are seeking part time teachers/tutors with experience teaching one or more of the academic subjects listed above whoHold a bachelor's degree and teaching certificate (current, expired, or working towards)Are able to work with kids of all agesHave the ability to multitaskAre dependable and have a reliable form of transportationNo lesson planning, grading, or parent meetings.

Pay is variable based on experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
