As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies used in patient care.
Your attention to detail and adherence to aseptic techniques will contribute to the overall quality of patient care.
Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and decontaminate medical instruments and equipment - Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols - Sterilize instruments using appropriate methods such as autoclaving or chemical sterilization - Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment and supplies - Ensure proper storage and distribution of sterile supplies - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures - Follow infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens - Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance Requirements:
- Graduate of Sterile Processing program or equivalent work experience - Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices - Proficiency in medical terminology - Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong communication and teamwork abilities - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy -Current BLS certification If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for patient safety, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
