Job Description/
Responsibilities:
The Labeling Analyst, Strategy & innovation Contractor role is designed to assist the Food Regulation & Strategy team in reviewing product labels and generating nutrition and labeling data to ensure regulatory compliance for FDA and USDA regulated products within the Food and Beverage of the company's portfolio.
This position provides the opportunity to interact with cross-functional members of the various Food and Beverage business units as well as corporate business partners and functional experts across Food and Beverage for the company.
Develop nutrition and regulatory technical information for ingredients and productsReview/approve label graphics for regulatory compliance and technical accuracyReview advertising and promotional materials for technical accuracy and complianceProvide nutrition and regulatory guidance on project teams to enable accurate decision-makingStay abreast of nutrition and regulatory developments and identify opportunities and implications to the business
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Food Science or related scientific field preferred2
years Food Labeling experience in Regulatory, Nutrition, R&D or Quality with a global/US food manufacturer; or applied nutrition/dietetics; or experience in the food service industry/culinary.
Prior experience with ESHA Genesis (preferred)Experience with Client companies / product commercializationExcellent problem solving, organization, and time management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn computer software programs for data collection, management, and reporting.
Ability to handle complexity, multiple projects, and work under tight timelinesStrong drive for results and ability to bring projects to completion Who We Are:
