We are seeking a full time Teacher I for our Glenview Location. This is a preschool teacher position.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
-Uses positive approaches to help children to solve problems.
-Arranges classroom in well-defined learning centers that are clearly labeled, clutter-free reflect childrens interests and encourage independent use.
-Follows all safety and health rules for the center, including all state, federal, NAEYC and One Hope Uniteds health and safety guidelines.
-Completes paperwork which is well-written, thorough and completed in a timely manner.
-Understands and maintains a Primary Care giving relationship with individual children and families.
-Assesses each childs development and develops appropriates goals.
-Organizes environment and appropriately cares for equipment, keeping equipment safe, clean and accessible to children.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree Type: AA in Early Childhood Education or related field with 2 years classroom experience or CDA with 7 years classroom experience or BA/BS with 1 year classroom experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
-The ability to handle decisions.
-Be able to lift, move, or hold children up to 40 pounds.
-Be able to fully participate in all activities, including continuous supervision and interaction with children outdoors for extended periods of time weather permitting (25-90 degrees)
