Assistant Bookkeeper

We are an established property management company servicing the North Shore and Chicago land area for over 35 years. Position requires attention to detail, proficiency in MS Word, and general computer skills, excellent communication with clients and coworkers, and the ability to multi-task.
Job Description: Position is responsible for entering all AP/AR and maintaining current certificates of insurance, and assist with other projects as directed. Also provides general office support. Willing to help out in the main office with phones when needed.
Responsibilities: Process weekly check runs accurately, enter homeowner assessment payments (high volume) into software and get bank deposits ready, call for expired certificates of insurance when needed and update as necessary, generate monthly assessment statements, break front admin staff when needed, assist with homeowner calls and questions, and perform other tasks as needed. Qualifications: Knowledge in Accounting, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent organizational skills, team player, positive attitude, willing to assist with variety of duties.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Days and times can be flexbile
$15 hourly

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
