Rent includes: utilities, private parking, shared use of common areas, use of laundry, shared home supplies, upkeep and housekeeping in common areas. We may consider a small, affectionate, well trained lap dog (if he/she does NOT bark non -stop the minute you leave.). No puppies please. This spacious rustic, French farmhouse was magnificently designed and furnished by the owner- an award-wining Designer/Builder/Antique collector and full of wonderful books. The home is newly renovated with a very large spacious kitchen and dining area, a massive dining room/solarium room with dining table for 10, rustic family room with bar dining and a large living room. There is a large yard with a pond and wildlife and a spacious front yard. The home located in peaceful, residential upscale neighborhood but video surveillance cameras give us all extra comfort and protection. Walk to forest preserve with biking and hiking trails, a lovely park, a nail salon, the famous "Hackney's on Harms" restaurant and the classic Meier's Tavern. 1 mile to expressway, grocery store, pharmacy, historic Wagners farmer market and only 15 min drive to Wilmette Beaches & Lake Michigan. We are seeking a social EXTROVERT with commonalities, someone to share a laugh, a news event, good conversation over meals, a dinner out or attend church on Sundays now and then. We also welcome your visiting family members or friends. We are very social and enjoy meeting new people. We are open to all people but are hoping to find someone with common interests and beliefs- we are a fun loving, fun group that likes to laugh a lot. We are also a Democratic, Christian-faith home and feel others with similar beliefs would make the environment more congenial. 2 of us are seniors who do not drive or have a vehicle so carpooling with you for shopping now and then would be a big plus.
